Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Why Do We Recognize Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month?

The five-year relative survival rate is 13%. That means that almost 90% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will die. Pancreatic cancer is currently the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in North America, yet it continues to be underfunded, overlooked, and outpaced in research.

Pancreatic Cancer North America is committed to raising the survival rate by bringing together multiple sectors, innovations, and novel methods to drive real change.

What is World Pancreatic Cancer Day?

World Pancreatic Cancer Day is an annual global event on November 16, 2023. It’s a day to raise awareness, honor those we’ve lost, and demand improved survival rates for those facing the world’s toughest cancer.
